The Nanny Collective is a childcare employment service designed to provide families with reputable, professional nannies, babysitters and carers of the highest standard. We are always looking to represent carers by finding them positions where they will find challenge and fulfilment. We pride ourselves on being absolutely fee free for all of our carers.

Do you have what it takes to be a Nanny Collective carer?

If so you’ll possess:

  • a professional approach
  • impeccable references
  • fantastic spoken and written English
  • a positive attitude
  • a love of little people

All of our candidates must have:

  • a minimum of 21 years of age
  • a minimum of 3 years experience working with children
  • a current Working with Children Check (NSW) or Blue Card (QLD)
  • a current First Aid Qualification
  • impeccable references

If you don’t have your Working with Children Check, Police Check or current First Aid Certificate but are in the process of getting one you may apply now and provide those documents prior to the scheduling of an interview.

Your resume is, without doubt, the most important part of getting a job. It is essential your resume is well written, current and informative.

Interview Tips

Putting your best foot forward is important. For this reason, our team has compiled a list of top tips to help nail that interview!

Arrive at least 10 minutes early

Punctuality is an obvious sign of attitude and approach. Don’t be late. Simple. Plan your drive and parking options beforehand.

Dress appropriately

It won’t be necessary to dress in formal business attire however it is an interview so dress smart. Also, on the job understand what’s appropriate for your industry. When working with children it’s important to dress in comfortable attire that fits properly.

Be confidant in your strengths and weaknesses

Knowing just what you can bring to the job and being enthusiastic about it will make you stand out. Also, being honest with potential weaknesses will demonstrate your ability to be reflective in your practice.

Be friendly, outgoing and exhibit enthusiasm

It’s true what they say about first impressions. You can make or break your interview within the first five minutes. Ensure you exhibit enthusiasm. Be friendly, outgoing and don’t forget to SMILE!

Be prepared for key questions

Practice your responses to questions such as “tell me about yourself”, “why are you looking for a new position”, “why do you love working with children” and “what are your strengths and weaknesses”.
