Mothers Helper

A Mother’s Helper usually supports a stay at home parent.

What is a Mother’s Helper?

A Mother’s Helper usually supports a stay at home parent with the primary role of lending a second set of hands. A mother’s helper is often a younger, less experienced nanny who wishes to gain experience in working with children.

The helper often assists with general household duties such as light housework, the running of errands and meal preparation. It is not uncommon for parents to leave the Mothers Helper with the sole care of her children for short periods of time.

Why use a Mothers Helper?

Carers in Mother’s Helper roles may at times be paid less than nannies as they are looking to gain experience whilst under the guidance of a parent. In other instances, a parent may seek a Mothers Helper who possesses more experience so that the parent can have more flexibility to leave the house if need be.
Mothers Helpers are perfect for when you just need a little extra help around the house.

Often families opt for Mother’s Helpers after the birth of a new child. This allows mum to spend a little bit of extra time with bub whilst being confident that her other children are being taken care of and given some special attention too!
