Day Nannies

Day Nannies provide structured daytime care with a strong educational focus on children’s development, learning, and routine support.

This role is ideal for families who want more than supervision, with an emphasis on early learning, engagement, and consistent developmental support within the home environment.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children’s daily routines, including feeding, hygiene, and rest
  • Providing social, emotional, and educational support
  • Implementing age-appropriate learning and development activities
  • Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
  • Supporting school readiness and early learning outcomes
  • Transporting children to activities and appointments where required
  • Preparing simple meals and snacks for children
  • Maintaining children’s bedrooms, play areas, and learning spaces

 

Light household duties:

Child-related ONLY

While the primary focus is always the children, a Day Nanny may assist with light household tasks connected to their care, including:

  • Packing and unpacking the dishwasher
  • Keeping kitchen and main living areas tidy after use
  • Children’s laundry (washing, folding, and putting away)
  • Changing children’s linen
  • Tidying toys, books, and play areas
  • Other child-related tasks agreed in advance


Hours and structure:

All Day Nanny roles require a minimum of 7 hours per day per shift in one continuous block.
